Travellers should take special care about their venous health.
Travelling poses a particularly high risk for venous complaints because of the limited mobility that often hinders the blood circulation for several hours at a stretch. Air-travelling poses a special risk because of the reduced air pressure on board leading to a lower blood oxygen supply and increasing the risk of a traveller’s thrombosis. With targeted activities and a little support from BEVRASAN® this risk can be minimized and significantly and possible complaints can be lessened easily.
- Try to stand up and move around every once in a while.
- If you cannot stand up: do simple vein gymnastics. Just lift your legs and move the tips of your feet up and down or in a circle. Do this at least 30 seconds and repeat the exercise every now and then.
- If you are flying: make sure to drink enough liquids to improve the flow velocity of your blood. (Coffee and alcohol have the opposite effect!)
- Wear graduated socks or panty hoses to prevent blood circulation problems.
The graduated socks and panty hoses by BEVRASAN® support your legs and thereby improve the venous flow. Furthermore, they give a constant restful massage to your legs all day long.
